Anastasios Gkotsinas

I am a PhD student from the University of Lyon. My research focusses on the various populations of comets in the solar system. I try to understand what they have in common and what their main differences come from, by concurrently modelling both their (chaotic) dynamical evolution, and their thermal evolution. My first interests are the Jupiter Family Comets like 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, and long-period comets which will be the target of the ESA/Comet Interceptor mission. Ultimately, I try to understand how primitive comets truly are, and where the most pristine material may be found.
